Dickinson sheriff issues June report
IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Sheriff Aaron Rochon has issued his monthly report for June.
The road patrol served 200 civil process papers, investigated 209 complaints, handled 28 accidents, issued 43 citations and 296 verbal warnings, made 41 arrests — 14 of which were for outstanding warrants and six of which were for felonies — and completed 195 property checks.
The K-9 officer was involved in 14 searches — eight for the sheriff’s office and six for local agencies — and had two tracking deployments.
The correctional center had 85 bookings, with an average daily booking of 2.8 and an average daily population of 57.4. The average female population was 9.1.
The dispatch center handled 661 911 calls, 4,180 non-911 calls, 1,905 calls for law enforcement service, 490 calls for ambulance service and 61 calls for fire service.
Four individuals assigned to the sheriff’s work van logged 96 hours at the courthouse and jail, raking and landscaping at the sheriff’s office, cleaning and sweeping the garage, helping at the Feeding America food distribution and doing local food pickups for the Salvation Army.
