ICHF donation for Life Tracker

The Iron Area Health Foundation recently awarded a mini-grant in the amount of $500 to the Life Tracker of Iron County project being coordinated by the Iron County Authority on Aging to help support the purchase of new electronic tracking devices. These wearable devices will allow the Iron County Sheriff's Department and its search and rescue team to more easily track individuals with conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's should they become lost, at no cost to the families. From left, at the check presentation are Helen Hord, Iron County Authority on Aging Committee secretary; Ryan Boehmke, Iron County sheriff; Georgi Tomasoski, Iron County Authority on Aging Committee chair; Jeremy Hauswirth, Michigan State Police; Mark Stauber, Iron County Board chair; Jessica Perry, IAHF board member; and Lyle Smithson Jr., IAHF director. The Iron Area Health Foundation is pleased to support this potentially lifesaving project in Iron County.
