NIAGARA, Wis. — Niagara will host its only vendors’ market for 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Heights Park.
They originally weren’t going to have any markets this summer after the person who organized them moved away, said Audrey Fredrick, city manager/clerk/treasurer. But they reconsidered.
“We had a lot of request for it, so we wanted to do something,” she said.
The market also is a fundraising event for several local groups. The $10 entry fee will be donated to the Niagara Area Emergency Unit. The Main Street Makeover Committee will have a bake sale and raffle off a handmade cornhole set. The Niagara Area Business Association will have a number of raffle baskets available.
This will also be a sip-and-shop event, with wine available during market hours.
Many vendors will be selling their wares. Angie Moreau and Tracy Daun will have T-shirts, mugs, signs and custom orders. Brenda Steinbeck will have knitted items and kitchen towels. Teresa Clement plans to sell jams and towels. River Street Baking Company will have homemade baked items. Another vendor will offer apothecary items and essential oils, Fredrick said.
“One thing we don’t have right now is produce,” she said.
They are seeking more vendors. Those who wish to take part can call City Hall at 715-251-3235.
The Suger Jets food truck will be on site and they invite other food trucks to come as well.
Local classic rock duo Norton & Chartier will provide acoustic music under the pavilion after the vendors market.
She said Nicolet Bank employees will take over organizing the market next year as part of their community outreach.
She encourages the public to come and enjoy the market and the final free Music in the Park concert of the summer.
“It’s a good opportunity for the community to get together and to support local business,” Fredrick said.
