Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic on Saturday
Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic will be held Saturday in Marquette.
MARQUETTE — The 26th-annual Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic — Michigan’s largest mass-start, point-to-point mountain bike event — is set for Saturday.
The Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic offers six different races with a well-tailored “grind to fun ratio” for every racer’s skill set, according to the race website. Everyone who races — be it a pro, weekend warrior or all members of a family — will feel like they have achieved something difficult while having fun at the same time.
The 48-mile Hard Rock, 28-mile Soft Rock and 10-mile Shore Rock courses are true cross-country races with numerous hills to climb, descents to fly down, fast flat sections, mud, sand, water and exposed rock. There are also 4-mile, 1-mile and 50-yard races for kids who may just be starting out with racing.
