Driver injured in Kingsford motorcycle crash

KINGSFORD — A motorcycle crash Sunday night in Kingsford has left one man with serious injuries, according to Kingsford Public Safety.

The motorcycle driver was found in the roadway at the corner of South Westwood and West Breitung avenues about 9:42 p.m. Sunday after colliding with a guard rail, Kingsford Public Safety stated in a news release.

He was taken by Integrity Care Ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, where he remains with potential life-threatening injuries.

Speed and alcohol are believe to be factors in the crash. The road was closed for approximately an hour and a half for the investigation, according to Kingsford Public Safety.

KSPD was assisted at the crash by Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch, Integrity Care Ambulance, Michigan State Police and Iron Mountain Police Department.
