Judith L. VanOss

Judy was born on July 22, 1945, in Iron Mountain, to Arthur and Ida (Peterson) Swanson. She graduated from Channing High School as valedictorian of the Class of 1963.

Soon after, she married her high school sweetheart, Gary VanOss. She worked at Lake Shore Inc. in Kingsford, for over 20 years. Judy was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed relaxing with her dogs, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Paul (Kelly) VanOss, Chris (Barb) VanOss; grandchildren, Ryan (Candace) VanOss, Brandon (Jenny) VanOss, Jenny (Tim) Witz, Jake VanOss, Josie (Andrew) Neighbors, and Trenton VanOss; and great-grandsons, Josh and Cameron.

Judy is preceded in death by Gary VanOss; her daughter, Jennifer VanOss; and her brother, Randy Swanson.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

A reception will immediately follow at the Sagola Township Community Center, 301 1st St., Sagola, MI 49881.
