ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. — Cheryl Bruce, 79, of Armstrong Creek, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Oct. 1 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis. She was born in Laona, Wis., on Jan. 7, 1944; daughter of Edward and Stella (Wozniak) Tatar. Cheryl was united in marriage to Ronald Bruce on Feb. 1, 1964, in Chicago. He preceded her in death March 31, 2011.
She enjoyed going to the casino, baking, and especially feeding her birds. Cheryl was always on-the-go, whether visiting friends or attending community functions. She loved working at the Goodman Meal Site as well.
Cheryl is survived by her three sons, Ronald W. (Michelle) Bruce Jr. of Armstrong Creek, David M. (Sharon) Bruce of Ocala, Fla., and John E. (Candy) Bruce of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Tasha, Michael, Christopher, Valerie, Samantha and Coty; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Stella; and two brothers, Edward (Christina) and Dan (Brenda) Wozniak.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward; and two siblings, Larry and Beverly.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Fence Bible Church. Pastor Tim Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Fence.
