IRON MOUNTAIN — Lucille Ann Wiedenhoeft, 72, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Lucille was born on July 1, 1953, in Kittery, Maine, to the late Glen Moore and Elsie (Cornelius) Moore.
She worked at a local deli for over 30 years, where she became a familiar and beloved face in the community. Her customers cherished her not only for her dedication, but for the warmth, humor, and genuine care she brought to each day.
Lucille was known for her strength and quirky sense of humor. Her lighthearted nature and laughter brought joy to many. She was a huge animal lover, had a deep appreciation for nature and, above all, loved her family fiercely.
She is survived by her husband, George Wiedenhoeft; her daughter, Heather Wiedenhoeft; her sister, Elaine Chadwick; her sister-in-law, Christine Beaudin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Glenn Moore; and her son, Travis.
A private celebration of life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Almost Home Animal Shelter of Quinnesec.
Lucille — known lovingly as Lucy — will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her light heart, her laughter, and the love she shared with those around her.
