IRON MOUNTAIN — Cheryl L. Galante, 75, formerly of Novi, Mich., passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Optalis Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsford. Visitation will be at the Kingsford Funeral Home on June 7, with funeral services to follow at the American Martyrs Church. Complete arrangements will be announced. KINGSFORD — Herman Chounard Jr., 94, of Kingsford, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. today at the Kingsford Funeral Home in Kingsford, with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Msgr. Joseph Gouin will officiate, with military honors provided by the U.S. Army and Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50. Burial will be at the Norway Cemetery. IRON MOUNTAIN — William “Bill” Hyde passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
