IRON MOUNTAIN — James Dean Schabel, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, has passed from his earthly presence on Saturday, March 23, 2024. His passing was unexpected but due to complications with ongoing medical conditions. Jim was born Dec. 19, 1962. He married his life-long partner Teresa Sjoquist on Nov. 23, 1985. In his final moments, he was happily watching Michigan State on the way to winning their first game of the 2024 NCAA basketball tournament.
