LORETTO — Irene Opolka, 104, of Naples, Fla., passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 2, 2024, under the care of Avow Hospice of Naples. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at St Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Fr. Marty Flynn officiating. Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery. Arrangements announced by the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

HOUGHTON — Alan C. Sunn, 67, of Houghton, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 15, 2023, and is now resting in the arms of his loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13 at the First Baptist Church in Iron River. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with Bryan Darrell to officiate. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Alvin, Wis., in the spring. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home Inc. of Iron River.
