A Republican who backs Biden

We are living in challenging times. Who can lead us through?

Consider the debate on how to deal with a virus that is impacting our health, economy, and way of life. How big of a role should governments have with public health? What measures become government overreach? What constitutes good leadership on this issue?

High water in the Great Lakes is having destructive effects along our coastal infrastructure. Western fires have reached disaster scale due to dry climatic conditions and questioned forest management practices. Our species is confronted with the debate: Is human activity changing the climate or are we experiencing natural cycles of climate on earth? Are political, economical, and human interests prioritized over the effects that we may be having on the environment of our planet?

What about violent protests, rioting, claims of injustice in policing? Is this as simple as law and order versus anarchy or are more complicated social, economical, and legal elements at play? How do we structure a national strategy that supports our law enforcement’s ability to protect us while retaining community trust and process accountability? Do we recognize the views of both sides? What are the best practices that can be applied? Is it a time to collaborate or pick sides?

I have been evaluating the two prospective presidential candidates for many months to see who demonstrates credible leadership qualities. In conclusion I will be crossing the political aisle as I am a staunch Republican and I am for Joe Biden. Joe will utilize respectful, inclusive, honest, and logical problem solving when crafting national solutions to the issues above.

I will not vote for Donald Trump because I do not think he is honest, respectful, logical or inclusive. My evidence that supports these claims points to an individual who —

— Appears to have abused his power of office and obstructed justice in an attempt to gain advantage in being re-elected.

— Has demonstrated a repeated and gross conflict of interest by directing governmental functions to financially benefit properties in which he has interest.

— Utilizes name calling, bragging, blame placing, and disrespectful discourse when discussing rivals and opposing ideas.

I am Republican who supports Joe Biden. I support strategically dumping Trump. I will continue to vote for the Republican ideals of limited government, the right to life, and the Second Amendment. Let’s remain credible and remove a poor presidential example of leadership and vote for quality Republican senators and representatives to retain the balance of power in Washington and to force political parties to work together over the next two to four years.
