A kind act to ‘pay it forward’

From Blanche Kersting, Kingsford:
On the evening of Friday, Sept. 14, I was doing some shopping at Walmart. I was hot and tired and ready to go home. I was next in line behind a lady at the cash register with a large order. She was accompanied by a nice-looking young man who was helping her put her purchases in her cart.
As we stood there, we exchanged a few words, mostly commiserating about the heat. When I got ready to pay my bill, the cashier told me the lady before me had paid $13 on my bill.
I was totally surprised and could hardly believe it. By the time I left she was gone so I had no way to thank her.
Hopefully she will read this, and I would like her to know how much I appreciated her kind act and I will “pay it forward.”
We get so much bad news on social media daily regarding humanity today that it is wonderful to know there are still kind-hearted people out there and especially in our community.
What a wonderful example for the young man.
Thank you so much and God bless you.
