Sorny’s Garage went above and beyond in helping woman

Bouquets and Barbs

From Linda Grismer, Kingsford:

A sincere thank you to Steve at Sorny’s Garage on Carpenter Avenue in Kingsford. I called him because something on the bottom of my car was scraping along the road as I drove.

Since my husband of 40 years, Alan, had recently passed away on Feb. 19, I was grieving and anything like car repair was really too much for me to handle.

My husband had our car worked on at Sorny’s before, so he knew him and he trusted him to do a good job, and he did every time.

When I brought my car to Sorny’s, he said it was the exhaust system and he would fix it.

Well, a few hours later he called me and said I could pick up my car.

I asked what the cost would be. He said, “Free.”

I said “What did you say?”

And he again said free.

“I knew your husband and he was a good man.”

So, Sorny made my life a little easier and the parts and the work he did for free.

It’s wonderful to know there are still people in our community who are caring and are so willing to give at their own expense to reach out and help others.

Thank you so very much and God bless you, Steve, at Sorny’s Garage.

A great place to take your car for repair!
