Thankful for food truck programs that benefit area

Bouquets and Barbs

Bouquet: The food trucks are coming is heard by seniors, veterans, low-income resident kids, disabled and the unemployed because of the virus. The Feeding America food truck is brought to our area by different organizations and the Farm to Family food truck contains fresh veggies and dairy products and distributed by the Dickinson-Iron Community Services Agency. Both are very much needed and appreciated. Commodities are given throughout the year by DICSA. The senior centers and churches provide takeout and dine-in meals and schools have their lunch programs. Let us not forget St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army. Everyone eligible benefits. It would be almost impossible to continue these programs without volunteers who give willingly of their time and energy. Thanks to all for keeping us well and healthy.
