Florence County Health thanks all responders

Bouquets and Barbs

Bouquet: The COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge for everyone. For responders it is and continues to be extra challenging. Responders include but are not limited to health care, fire, EMS, law enforcement, public health, long-term care, mental health providers and others. While these caring individuals respond to the needs of others, they tend to set their own care aside. Mental health issues and substance use is on the rise, yet many do not know where to go for help. Florence County has many resources available and is a great place to start.

To those responders, the Florence County Health Department staff would like to extend an enormous THANK YOU to our county responders for all they have done and continue to do to keep our families and friends safe. Your diligent work does not go unnoticed. This is also a great time to remind everyone to take care of themselves and loved ones and offer help to those who may be struggling.

For more information on mental health providers in Florence County, call the Florence County Human Services Department at 715-528-3296.
