Paint River veterans garden robbed again

From Joanne Jacobson Burns, Crystal Falls:
On the banks of the Paint River in Crystal Falls next to the dam at the bottom of 6th Street is a veterans park. In that park are three plaques honoring local men killed in the Vietnam and Iraq wars.
There is also a beautiful rock garden built by friends and family in honor and memory of John W. Jacobson, one of the men who lost his life in the Vietnam war. There are beautiful flowers and shrubs among the rocks, a path through it and a bench at the bottom of the garden for resting and reflection. Over the years, purple amethyst clusters that were cemented to stones in the garden were stolen along with rocks from the garden.
This week a friend and I went to enjoy a little time at the garden. Again, the garden has been robbed. This time, someone removed the concrete top from the resting bench, dumped it on the ground, and stole the two corbel-shaped concrete ends that held the concrete seat.
I am not one to shame people, but shame on you! This is a memorial garden in honor of a Vietnam veteran whose life was taken at the young age of 21.
Is this how you treat the honor and memory of our war veterans?
If anyone has knowledge of these corbels, we would appreciate their return, no questions asked. Thank you.
