Change needed in running DCHS

The Dickinson County Board, the Dickinson County Hospital Board, John Schon DCHS CEO, Attorney Michael P. Celello and other high-paid hospital officials are in helter-skelter mode and are solely responsible for the ongoing pandemonium and financial failure at DCHS.

Together they’ve collaborated and corroborated to ruin DCHS financially. They’re not interested in the future of a nurse’s retirement or the welfare of any other employees. Their selfish example prove that as long as they’re allowed to be in control of finances at DCHS nothing is going to change until every cent is pilfered.

DCHS has always treated patients as collateral instead of patents with collateral. They blame patients and their insurance companies for the financial harm they’ve done. You never hear of other area hospitals overspending and then blaming patients.

DCHS has plenty of good physicians, dedicated nurses and others who will eventually survive and thrive but only after the following three conditions are met:

First, county residents need to remove commissioners Henry Wender, Joe Stevens and Ann Martin. Second, demand that newly elected commissioners replace the current hospital board.

Then, John Schon, his attorney and others who have bankrupted DCHS can be ousted.

There’s no other way to reclamation. “New brooms sweep clean.”
