Reality of the situation

Many people are unhappy with the current political climate. One major change that says a lot about where we are at is that a hostile foreign power (Russia), along with home-grown right-wing extremist organizations with racist, neo-Nazi, and anti-semitic views are now actively supporting Republican candidates.

Think about this. Can you imagine the USSR/Russia supporting Ronald Reagan or John McCain? Even though we don’t know the extent to which they affected the outcome, the Russians freely admit they wanted Trump to win. Can you imagine the Ku Klux Klan endorsing George H. W., George W. or Jeb Bush? After the 2016 election, KKK “grand wizard” David Duke posted: “This is one of the most exciting nights of my life –make no mistake about it, our people have played a HUGE role.” Some of us may be in denial about what these changes mean, but it would be a huge mistake to ignore this trend. These people think Republicans will advance their interests.

You can’t have it both ways. At this point in our history, your vote will either be part of the problem, or part of the solution. As our system currently stands, we only have two options. Even though they would certainly not want the support of Vladimir Putin or the KKK, the election of U.S. House and Senate Republican candidates Jack Bergman and John James would help further the anti-American agendas of Russia and domestic hate groups by maintaining a pro-Trump majority in Congress. This is especially sad and ironic, given the previous military service and obvious patriotism of these men, but this is the reality of the current political situation. Vote for Matt Morgan and Debbie Stabenow.
