EDITOR: The Jan. 6 invasion of the Capitol has recently been described as a “day of love.” This is unthinkable to those of us who watched on T.V. as an angry, out-of-control mob broke windows to gain entry into the Capitol. We would not call it love, rather a day of hate and chaos. This certainly was not love of country. There was no concern or love for those working there. Misleading ads against Bohnak

That’s it! I can’t take it anymore, so I have to speak out about the Michigan 109th State House District race. We have all been inundated by political ads. The mud-throwing ads attacking Karl Bohnak are especially disturbing. The ads get very personal. One of the ads says when speaking about Karl Bohnak that “It is sad to a see a nice man go bad.” Another ad infers that “Karl and his panel of radical politicians” could impact the abortion rights in Michigan. Guidelines for election letters

The Daily News will print letters related to the Nov. 5 general elections through Thursday, Oct. 31, with submissions due no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. Letters should be no more than 250 words, preferably sent by email. To ensure all can have their say, new letter-writers will take priority over those whose election views already have been published if space becomes tight. Sperm and egg fusion explained

Last week The Daily News published an article from the Associated Press, stating that scientists from Austria discovered clues showing how fertilization works like a lock and key across the animal kingdom. They discovered that three proteins on the surface of sperm join to form a sort of key that attaches to a protein on the egg’s surface, creating a pathway for the sperm to enter the egg. Political lies and ‘family values’

Between Mona Charen and Letters to the Editor, Tuesday’s Opinion page managed to blast Trump supporters as a flock of deviants or liars. Mona Charen says Trump’s and Vance’s lies about the 2020 election caused the deaths of five people on Jan. 6. Fact check: Four were Trump supporters — one shot by a Capitol police officer and three from other problems. One Capitol Police officer had two strokes several hours later and died the next day. Charen somehow blesses Tim Walz’s history of lies and exaggerations as unimportant, and claims that Trump’s COVID-19 policies led to the ...

Just the election facts, please

EDITOR: As the election nears, I long for information that is not published from FOX, MSNBC, PBS, CNN and the legacy media. In spite of their claims to be unbiased. I believe they choose what stories to report as well the editing videos that will align with their biases. My only recourse is to write this opinion in the hope the readers will set aside their biases and do research with the above in mind and ask themselves questions that reveal facts.
