EDITOR: This is in regard to the April 20 letter about abortion rights. Abortion is not a right, and abortion is not a women’s health issue. Abortion is murder of the unborn child. The Commandment reads, “Thou shalt not kill/murder, period! The only right there is in this issue is, if you don’t want to have a baby, don’t have sex. A baby is a person from conception to birth. EDITOR: It is challenging to respond to the Letter to the Editor that appeared in the April 20 issue of The Daily News. The unabashed, insistently harsh call for Women’s Reproductive Health Rights (code word for unlimited abortion) unmasks the shameful truth of our times — “Me, me, me—I’ll mow down anything in my way.” Evil today doesn’t appear as a fiery, red demon. Compelled to speak out, write about the truth

First, let me say that I love newspapers. I don’t understand why everyone does not subscribe or at least buy a copy daily. I love this forum where anyone can post their thoughts to share them with others. I see this spot mostly empty. Is that because no one has anything to say? Or is it because people do have thoughts but hesitate to share them, especially now days when so many use threats of violence against anyone they disagree with. April Parkinson’s Awareness Month

April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month. This chronic, progressive neurological disorder cannot be cured. But as the years roll by, more and more effective medications and therapies are available to allow it to be controlled for longer periods of time and giving patients an improved quality of life. Fear of losing our freedoms

EDITOR: I have a fear of losing many of our freedoms. Freedom is the bedrock of a democracy and it is under attack. Right now these are the three I fear of losing most: 1. Women’s Reproductive Health Rights. According to Guttmacher Institute in 2021-22, there have been 561 abortion restrictions introduced in all but three states. Michigan is one of them. Of them, 97 have been voted into laws, including the “bounty hunter law” that gives citizens the power to sue anyone they think has anything to do in helping a woman receive an abortion. EDITOR: What I think I learned from a discussion done by dairy farmers: The area that seemed to be really clear to me is that individualism and competition alone is a major disadvantage in a marketplace controlled by large monopolistic companies in processing and distribution. The second thing is that mechanization allows larger operations to gain a price advantage due to a lower cost per unit.
