KINGSFORD — Football helmets for the Kingsford High School football team will be distributed Wednesday morning at Don Edens Field House.

Varsity players will pick up helmets at 9 a.m., with the junior varsity and freshmen at 10 a.m.

Football practice for the varsity, junior varsity and freshmen begins at 9 a.m. Monday.

Varsity, junior varsity and freshmen volleyball practice starts at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8

Boys soccer begins practice at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Woodland Elementary.

Girls tennis is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the Flivver courts.

Cross country’s first session is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Kingsford High School.

All athletes must have a physical on file in the principal’s office in order to practice or participate in sports, said athletic director Al Unger.

Meet the Flivvers, an introduction of Kingsford’s fall sports athletes, will take place Thursday, Aug. 16, at Flivver Field.

“All parents of athletes should attend and the public is invited,” Unger said.

The social begins at 5:30 p.m. and the introduction of athletes will follow.
