Junior A hockey: Tyler Trombly with Colorado Eagles
Tyler Trombly is moving on in the hockey world.
The son of Jason Trombly, a 1991 Kingsford High School graduate and nine-year participant in the Dickinson Amateur Hockey Association, will play this season for the Junior “A” Northern Colorado Eagles of Greeley, Colo.
Tyler Trombly (5-foot-8, 160), 19, who resides in Huntsville, Ala., played last season for the Point Mallard Ducks of the NA3HL. The two-way forward ranked fourth on the team with 17 goals and 25 assists.
“I’m really ecstatic about the opportunity with the Eagles,” Trombly told the Eagles. “It’s a true honor to be joining such an elite organization. I can’t wait to get the season going and bring home a championship for Northern Colorado.”
Steve Haddon, Northern Colorado head coach and general manager, called Trombly a “very skilled and hard working player.”
“Tyler competes every shift,” Haddon said. “He is the type of player that can create something out of nothing. I am excited to work with him and help him grow his game.”
Jason Trombly also played for DAHA’s 1984 UP Squirt B champions.
