North Central pummels Carney-Nadeau 62-8

POWERS — The top-ranked North Central Jets continued their winning ways here Friday night in a 68-8 eight-player football rout of the Carney-Nadeau Wolves.

North Central led 62-8 at half at halftime in the Great Lakes Eight West Division affair.

The Jets collected 421 yards in total offense. Luke and Noah Gorzinski combined on a 13-of-19 passing effort for 223.

North Central (8-0 overall) gained 198 yards on the ground, led by Noah Gorzinski’s 94 on just four carries. Cole Timblin ran five times for 56, including a 13-yard touchdown run just 94 seconds into the contest.

Noah Gorzinski ran for touchdowns of 48 and 39 yards and tossed a 19-yard TD pass to Timblin. Luke Gorzinski had touchdown passes of four yards to Noah Gorzinski and 22 to Leo Gorzinski.

Timblin scored on a 57-yard kickoff return and Brien Gronmark scored on a 24-yard in the fourth stanza.

The Wolves, who finish their regular season at North Dickinson Friday, rushed for 114 of their 163 yards.

North Central, who have already been contacted by Stephenson that they forfeit Thursday’s final regular season game, will await their opponent in a regional playoff opener Nov. 1 or 2.
