POWERS – Three members of North Central’s three-time state champion team from 2015-17 had successful weekends of college basketball.

Redshirt sophomore Jason Whitens and Western Michigan defeated UW-Milwaukee 115-110 in triple overtime to go to 2-0 on the season.

Whitens had 15 points and nine rebounds in 40 minutes of action.

Junior Dawson Bilski and the Michigan Tech Huskies went 2-0 this past weekend by defeating Lewis University and McKendree University.

Bilski had 14 points in each contest and led the team in three-point makes.

Junior Marcus Krachinski and Northern Michigan split their weekend matchups with Lewis and McKendree to start the season 1-1.

Krachinski had three points in the loss to McKendree on Sunday.
