Lady Badgers edge Coleman

NIAGARA, Wis. — Behind three players in double figures, and double-doubles from Jessica Oratch and Josie Rock, Niagara defeated Coleman 50-45 on Friday in a Marinette-Oconto Conference tilt.

Alyssa Cretton led all scorers with 17 points for the Badgers, who improve to 8-3 on the season. Head coach Karl Lamoreaux’s squad, who scored first in the ball game, also led 29-20 at half, and had the lead throughout the game.

Hailey Ziemer led the Cougars in scoring with 15 points, with Cameron Compe chipping in 10 points in the losing effort.

Oratch’s double-double consisted of 12 points and 18 rebounds, while Rock, a freshman, had 11 points and 11 rebounds for her double-double.

The Badgers return to action on Thursday when they travel to Crivitz for another M&O matchup.
