Mattson, Schultz guide fourth quarter surge
FELCH — Maximus Mattson scored 14 points in the fourth quarter as North Dickinson defeated Stephenson 58-50 in Skyline Central Conference boys basketball Friday.
The Nordics, getting their first win of the season, trailed 38-36 entering the final frame.
Cameron Schultz led North Dickinson with 22 points. Mattson finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
“I’m really pleased with the way that Cameron led our team and very happy with the way Max turned his game around in the second half,” said Nordics coach Chris Mattson. “We shot a little better … seven for 22 on threes, so we’ll take that.”
