Eagles blitz North Dickinson

FELCH TOWNSHIP — North Dickinson hosted Great Lakes Conference West Division foe Stephenson on Friday night at James D. Priestap Memorial Field. The visiting Eagles defeated the Nordics 60-6.

“They outplayed us up front, and we couldn’t get anything going offensively,” ND head coach Mike Christian said.

North Dickinson senior Brennan Donaldson, quarterback and middle linebacker, left the game with a severe foot injury less than three minutes before halftime Christian noted.

Donaldson scored on a 1-yard run, the only points for Nordics. He also led the team with six tackles.

The Nordics amassed 175 passing yards and 40 yards rushing, for a game total of 215 yards.

“It was one of those games that everything snowballed when Donaldson got hurt and we couldn’t get out in front of it,” said Christian.

North Dickinson (0-1) travels to North Central next Saturday for a 5 p.m. kickoff for the Jets’ homecoming.
