Florence volleyball posts 3-1 win over Patriots

FLORENCE, Wis. — In a Northern Lakes Conference girls volleyball match Friday evening, the Florence Ladycats defeated Goodman-Pembine 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22).

“It was a battle and fun volleyball to be part of,” said Florence coach Teresa Chrisman.

“The games went back and forth and was intense. If our girls can start eliminating errors and just continue to master court sense it will be a fun season.”

Sidney Tomczak led the way with 100% serving, eight spike kills and 11 assists. Morgan Tomczak had nine spike kills, while Lacey Enders notched six spike kills and 100% serving.

Florence remains home to host Crandon on Monday. Goodman-Pembine hosts Three Lakes at Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School, also on Monday.
