Forest Park blanks North Central, 3-0
CRYSTAL FALLS — Forest Park’s volleyball team hosted North Central Tuesday night in Skyline Central Conference action, as it was also the Trojans’ home opener. The host Trojans defeated the Jets 3-0 (26-24, 25-16, 25-19) at the Eddie Chambers Memorial Gymnasium.
“We started off slow in our first set tonight. We had a few service errors and miscommunication,” said Forest Park coach Bobbie Jo Anderson. “However, the girls gained momentum in our second and third set and pulled off a much needed win.”
Anderson noted that after last week’s matches, she changed the team’s rotation around slightly and worked on some areas that needed improvement.
“It was nice to see these girls play as a team and have fun while doing it,” she added.
Forest Park, who also won the JV match 2-0, travels to Superior Central tonight, before returning home to host North Dickinson on Tuesday. Both matchups are SCC matches.
The Jets return home for the next three matches, first hosting long time rival Bark-River Harris tonight.
