FLORENCE, Wis. — On senior night in Northern Lakes Conference action, the Florence LadyCats defeated Phelps convincingly 3-0 (25-4, 25-11, 25-8), on Friday evening.

“It was the LadyCats’ season finale at home and we honored seniors Lacey Enders and Sidney Tomczak with a nice team win,” said Florence coach Teresa Chrisman.

“Its been a roller coaster year with our season starting so late and limited games due to COVID. But in a short time these girls really jelled together,” Chrisman said. “Enders and Tomczak will be greatly missed.”

Morgan Tomczak led the way with eight kills. Freshman Bella Millan, who continued to improve all season, Chrisman noted, added four kills. Sidney Tomczak recorded eight assists. Enders, Millan, Morgan Tomczak and Vicky Peterson had 100% serving.

“We are really looking forward to regional play on Thursday against Niagara. It is always a battle against them. We will need to be firing on all cylinders Thursday,” Chrisman added.

Florence’s WIAA tournament match Thursday at Niagara versus the Lady Badgers will begin at 7 p.m.
