Prep football: Second U.P.S.S.A. poll

NEGAUNEE — The second Upper Peninsula Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association high school football poll of 2020 has been released.

There was some flip-flopping in the 11-player poll, with Marquette taking over first place by one point. Sault Ste. Marie, who earned the most first place votes from the five- voter panel, was in second. The other first place vote went to Kingsford, third, behind Sault Ste. Marie.

Iron Mountain remains in the fifth spot, but this week was tied with Negaunee. The Mountaineers are officially 4-0 with three forfeit wins, over Westwood, Hancock and Calumet. Iron Mountain defeated Bark River-Harris on Sept. 25 at Mountaineer Stadium.
