Iron Mountain’s wrestlers knock off Westwood, Gwinn

ISHPEMING — Iron Mountain finished 2-1 at a quadrangular wrestling match Tuesday at Westwood High School, defeating Westwood and Gwinn but falling to Bark River-Harris.

“Bark River is a solid team and they came real close to going to team state finals last year,” said Iron Mountain coach Cory McLaren. “Once we get our lineup figured out I expect we will close the gap on the score.”

Bark River prevailed 60-24. The Mountaineers won 49-12 over Westwood and 59-12 over Gwinn.

Iron Mountain is now 4-2 and will return to the mat Tuesday at Kingsford.
