FELCH — North Central shook off its early season rust and clocked North Dickinson 61-19 in Skyline Conference boys basketball Tuesday.

The Jets had a balanced attack, led by Ian Gorzinski with 11 points, and Luke Gorzinski and Jesse Sampson with 10 apiece.

The Nordics found themselves in a 19-4 hole at the end of the first quarter.

“We had a little run in the second quarter, which I was happy to see,” said ND coach Chris Mattson. The Jets’ quick hands on defense was a problem throughout the game, he added.

“They played with a higher motor,” he said. “They got to the 50-50 balls.”

North Central (1-2) travels to Norway on Friday. North Dickinson (0-2) goes to Munising tonight.
