Athletes earn awards at KHS
KINGSFORD — Carter Kreski and Christina Glodowski were named senior athletes of the year at the Kingsford High School athletic awards ceremony in the school’s auditorium.
Both athletes were named most valuable player in multiple sports, with Kreski being tabbed in football and hockey, while Glodowski was MVP in girls golf and basketball. Teagan Petschar also earned MVP in two sports, grabbing honors in girls tennis and softball.
Madisyn Johnson was named cheer MVP in both the fall and winter seasons.
Other athletes receiving MVP awards May 25 were Katherine Erickson, volleyball; Melanie Wenzel, cross country; Kobe Gordon, boys soccer; Cole Bracket, basketball; Matthew Keebaugh, bowling; Matthew Solda, boys golf; Hunter Bilgreen and Chris Carollo, co-MVPs in track; Caleb Boone, boys tennis; and Nolan LaVarnway, baseball.
