IRON MOUNTAIN – The Iron Mountain Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25, featuring a half marathon, half marathon relay, and 5K race.

“We have participants who are avid and beginner runners, families who are looking to become more active together, and others who are ready to hit the road and walk their first 5K (3.1 miles),” said Sara Pericolosi, Run Iron Mountain board member. “The participants, the support of the community, and the cause of the race leads to an energizing, positive experience.”

Race proceeds benefit the Dickinson County Cancer Loan Closet, a non-profit organization operated by volunteers that assists both cancer and non-cancer patients. To date, Run Iron Mountain has donated over $100,000 to the DCCLC.

The Run Iron Mountain Half Marathon will also award two $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2022.
