KINGSFORD — In their first action of the season on their freshly refurbished home courts, Kingsford swept a girls tennis triangular Tuesday afternoon, defeating Great Northern Conference foe Menominee 5-3 and non-conference opponent Norway 7-1.

“The girls came out with great attitudes today which was important for playing back to back matches for most of the lineup,” said Kingsford head coach Tracy Rutter. “Staying consistent and working on match errors will be a top priority with the end of the year quickly approaching.”

The Lady Knights travel to Ishpeming this afternoon for non-conference action, before hosting non-conference foe Ironwood on Tuesday.

The Flivvers and Maroons square off in a GNC dual on Thursday afternoon in Menominee, before Kingsford returns home to host Negaunee in non-conference action on Tuesday.
