STAMBAUGH — West Iron County’s varsity football team has forfeited its upcoming game at Houghton on Friday.

The reason is a number of injuries depleting the Wykons’ small roster.

West Iron head coach Mike Berutti and his coaching staff are expected to re-evaluate whether to continue the school’s varsity season on Monday.

The Wykons, (0-5) are scheduled to travel to Ishpeming on Oct. 8.
