KINGSFORD — Marquette posted a 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-15, 25-16) over Kingsford in Great Northern Conference volleyball Thursday.

“We struggled to get our offense running,” said Kingsford coach Jaclynn Kreider. “Marquette’s serving proved to be too much for us. We did not pass well out of serve receive and therefore found ourselves always on the defensive side of the ball.”

Marquette’s offensive attackers also put the Flivvers on their heels, Kreider said.

“Marquette is a great team and unfortunately we just could not keep up with them,” she said.

The Kingsford jayvees lost 2-1 but the Flivvers freshmen squad prevailed 3-0.
