FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence wrestling team defeated Suring/Gillett 14-12 and lost to Crivitz 24-18 at the Florence Triangular on Thursday evening.

In their win, the Bobcats received points from Sophia Wagner in a tech fall, Caitlyn Kelly on a forfeit and Breyson Kelley, who defeated a state-ranked wrestler, according to coach Ed Kelley.

In the loss, Wagner and Breyson Kelly scored points on pins, while Caitlyn Kelly won on a forfeit.

Crivitz knocked off Suring/Gillett 27-9 in the other dual match.

Caitlyn Kelley and Wagner are set to compete in the inaugural WIAA Girls State Championships on Saturday in LaCrosse.
