NORWAY — A successful season on the diamond has yielded a plethora of honors for members of the 2023 Norway Knights boys varsity baseball team.
The Knights finished the season with an impressive 23-6 record and won yet another MHSAA district title under coach Tony Adams and his staff.
“We are proud of all of our players for the work they put in and happy to see our players be recognized for their efforts in the classroom and on the field,” Adams said.
Norway leaned on solid pitching and some timely hitting to secure the team’s fourth consecutive district crown, beating the North Central Jets in an 8-7 thriller for the MHSAA Division 4, District 98 baseball championship on June 2 at Marion Park in Norway. Though, the Knights’ season ended less than a week later with a hard-fought 2-1 loss to visiting Painesdale-Jeffers in the Regional 49 semifinals on June 7.
