The camp that Angeli started in 1984 aims to help players of all ability levels develop their skills while cultivating a love for the game of basketball.
Angeli, a 1980 graduate of West Iron County High School, has enjoyed a successful 40-year coaching and administrative career in three countries and seven states. He was inducted into the Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame in May.
The high school session of the 2025 Camp of Champs concluded Sunday in Iron Mountain.
Former Michigan State and Western Michigan University cager Jason Whitens — a key member of five state championship teams over a three-year span at North Central High School — was the guest speaker on the final day of the high school program. Former WNBA All-Star, University of Nebraska and Niagara Badgers standout Anna DeForge was slated to speak today at the camp in Niagara.
