Florence places two on NLC first team

Two Florence LadyCats were selected to the 2025 all-Northern Lakes Conference first team in a recent vote by league coaches.
Sophomore Kelsi Chrisman was a unanimous choice to the team, while fellow sophomore Miley VanDenHeuvel was also picked to the six-player first team.
Florence was also represented on the second team by senior Ashlyn VanDenHeuvel and on the honorable mention list by senior Sami DeMuri.
Lily Terry of Laona/Wabeno was selected as player of the year and was a unanimous pick to the first team. Other first-team honorees included sophomore Malia Szews of Three Lakes (unanimous), senior Izzy Popp of Laona/Wabeno and senior Kailyn Fogerty of Three Lakes.
Other second-team selections included senior Ariah Peterson of Crandon, senior Hanna Schmidt of Elcho, senior Kayla Siemers of Elcho, senior Jolie Seidel of Goodman/Pembine and senior Haylee Barnekow of Phelps.

Additional players given honorable mention included junior Luci Pukall of Elcho, senior Lauryn Dwight of Goodman/Pembine, sophomore Brynn Yaeger of Laona/Wabeno, sophomore Kate Koshuta of Three Lakes and freshman Kaylynn Klein of Three Lakes.
Elcho’s Scott Wilsens was named coach of the year.
The Three Lakes Bluejays won the league championship.
