District title for Flivvers

A 15-0 run was not enough for the Gladstone Braves in Kingsford on Friday as they fell 49-43 to the Flivvers.

The Braves started their 15-0 run in the second quarter as Teagan Reynolds knocked down a pair of free throws and Will Inghram drove to the basket for a layup to cut the deficit to 25-20.

Braves junior Lonnie Davey knocked down a 3-pointer and then scored a layup off a steal to tie the game at 25. The Braves took the lead at 27-25 on a layup by junior Braidyn Miron.

The Braves extended the lead on a layup by sophomore Alex Prins and capped off the run on a layup by Reynolds who finished with eight points on the night.

“We had the lead in every quarter tonight,” Braves coach Jake Keisby said. “We want our kids to remember this feeling so when we get back to this team it will help us prepare for this situation.”
