HERMANSVILLE — Dates have been set for the 87th Gold Medal Classic Independent Basketball Tournament, which will be held at the historic Frank Rodman Community Club in Hermansville.

The tournament will take place March 12-22. 

Classes A, B, C, D, EE, E will be offered, as well as Junior High Boys and Girls divisions. A Women’s division will also 

held, as well as an Alumni Division, which is a new addition. 

The Alumni Division will feature unique rules, with the first team to reach 60 points declared the winner. All players on the roster must have graduated from same high school . 

There are no roster limitations for the single-elimination Alumni Division, with dates and times of games in the division to be determined. 

Class A, double elimination format, will be held March 21 and 22 along with the two-game guarantee Women’s Division. 

The eight-team Class B division will be held March 14 and 15 and is also double-elimination format. Junior High Girls will be held March 14 while the Junior High Boys will be held March 15.

Class C, D, EE and E will be held throughout the tournament and are all single-elimination format. Submitted rosters for every team is a must. Entry deadline is March 6.
