Lady Badgers head into tournament off win
NIAGARA, Wis. – In a game that was postponed from Friday, the Niagara Lady Badgers defeated visiting St. Thomas Aquinas Academy 45-27 Monday night to head into the WIAA Division 5 regional off a victory.
Alivia Kleikamp scored 13 points, Sydney Swanson added 11 and Bristol Sawicki chipped in with nine to lead the Lady Badgers (11-13 overall, 7-9 Marinette and Oconto Conference).
Niagara stepped out to a 28-11 lead after the first half and held off the Cavaliers (1-17, 1-15) from there.
The Lady Badgers defeated Hurley (12-11) in the opening round of the regional Tuesday, 60-48.
