Senior Truth Setner and freshman Promice Setner scored 20 points each to lift Florence to a 70-29 win over Ewen Trout-Creek in boys basketball action Friday.

“A win we needed,” said Florence coach Bryan Bomberg. The Bobcats were coming off a 92-68 Northern Lakes Conference loss to Three Lakes on Thursday.

“I thought we played a solid game,” Bomberg added. “Right now we need the rest and to heal up. We have some nagging injuries that require us to rest.”

Bradly Steber added nine points for Florence and Kade Larson scored eight. Also contributing were Bowen Spears, six points; Carter Reed, four; and Kyle Smith, three.

Bomberg credited the Bobcats for holding the Panthers’ Brody Majurin to eight points. “The last time we played Ewen, he went off for 45 points,” he said.

Florence (7-9) travels to Lena (5-12) tonight.
