Key conference baseball test awaits Bobcats
Florence improved to 4-1 in the Northern Lakes Conference with a 16-5 win Saturday on the road against Goodman-Pembine.
The Bobcats will host Crandon (5-1) on Tuesday.
Florence clubbed 12 hits against the Patriots, including a triple and two singles by Carter Reed. Kolton Campbell added two singles.
Florence’s Kade Larson allowed two hits and four runs over three innings, striking out three and walking six. Logan McCoy pitched four innings in relief allowing a hit, a run, striking out six and walking none.
Mason Koski and Campbell drove in three runs each for the Bobcats, who drew eight walks.
Vinne Ispa led Goodman-Pembine with a double and single.
