New scholarship to be offered at KHS
CAMERON PRICE
KINGSFORD — Cameron Price was a proud graduate of the Kingsford High School Class of 2016.
He loved school and helping other people. Price was born with a handicap that made life a challenge, but he had a positive outlook on life. He was always thinking about ways to help people that had less than him. He passed away in August 2016.
For this reason, the Price family is establishing a scholarship in memory of Price to show appreciation for an individual who has made someone’s life better by being kind and helpful.
Price wanted to give everyone an opportunity, so this scholarship is open to anyone pursuing higher education. The first Cameron’s Helping Others Scholarship will be awarded to a Kingsford High School graduating senior from the Class of 2021.
The emphasis in the selection process will be on the essay portion of the application. The scholarship application was available beginning on March 8, and can be obtained through Jamie Lockhart at KHS.
“We would like to thank the Price family for allowing us the opportunity to honor Cameron’s memory through this generous scholarship.” said Lockhart.
