I was walking my dog recently and six dogs were loose — three were pit bulls — and came and attacked my dog. He ran all the way to my house where they cornered him. Luckily I got there in time to get him inside and chase the dogs away. He had quite a few punctures and lacerations from that.

A week later, a dog got free from its leash while being walked and chased us and attacked my dog again! This time I had pepper spray.

Something needs to be done with this. I see posts all over Facebook about others as well. I called the police and they were prompt and wrote a report, but it would only be a warning to the owner.

I have bear spray and will be carrying a blunt object from now on as well. Ridiculous!
